Watercolors in Bloom Party
Well, the Watercolor color show was a lot of fun. I have to say I felt really good, I felt really loved, and I met a lot of very friendly people. June, a great friend of mine, arrived with the perfect bouquet of flowers, making me feel like a beautiful Prom Queen. Clearly in the image below I'm excited.
Many of my friends joined me and showed their support.
And at one point I got a little kooky.
Clearly!
I do think the man next to me is quite nice. I was simply exhausted from smiling so much!
Obviously, the evening was winding up. I'm just happy I had the opportunity to show my watercolors. Everyone had a great time.

The Party
Well, the party did end up being pretty fun. Although I will say there was A LOT of drama this year. Hopefully, none of my guests got hepatitis as a result of being danced on by some crazy homeless woman.
A lot of hand-washing was involved, and the calling of police.
I heard someone playing "Stairway to Heaven" and I have no idea why. Somehow, all of the food was devoured in no time, and maybe the tequila punch did a few in.
I made an elderly woman scream in agony from my blasting the rock and roll on the radio.
I got to boogie down with my friends, eat cupcakes, snickerdoodles, and juggle calla lilies.
The love was pretty evident.

Foxglove
At about 10:30 last night I had the impulse to draw this. The foxglove, you see, is a beautiful plant, and one I am planning to include in a painting. Obviously, I love this plant. I love most flowers, but this one is my baby, which resonates with me as profoundly as brugmansia. Plus, it's one more piece to put in my show.
